  • 3 lbs chuck roast
  • 1 white onion, quartered
  • 10.5 oz beef broth
  • 1 oz. dry au jus mix
  • .7 oz dry Italian salad dressing mix
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper


  1. Place meat into slow cooker
  2. Add onion around the meat.
  3. Pour the broth over the beef, sprinkling au jus mix and salad dressing mix on top, along with salt and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low until desired tenderness is reached, 6 – 8 hours.
