Flavorful Parmesan Chicken Casserole

Italian parmesan chicken casserole recipe

Serves 6 people


  • 2 tbsp. Cento Pure Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed and diced
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, halved
  • 2 cups Doris’ Own Marinara Sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan, divided
  • 5 oz. garlic-flavored croutons


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
  2. Use olive oil to coat the bottom of a 9×13 casserole dish
  3. Sprinkle with diced fresh garlic and red pepper flakes
  4. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the casserole dish, coating with marinara sauce
  5. Spread basil over sauce, and cover with 1/2 the mozzarella and 1/2 the parmesan cheeses
  6. Top with garlic croutons, and spread remaining cheeses over the dish
  7. Bake approx. 35 – 1 hour, or until cheese and croutons are golden and chicken is cooked thoroughly to 160 degrees fahrenheit.
